The weighted index opened at 41795.92 points, reached a high of 41795.92 points during the day, and hit a low of 41014.53 points. The non-financial stock index closed at 37531.39 points, down 537.77 points.
The eight major sectors showed mixed performance: cement/ceramics stocks fell 1.52%, food stocks rose 1.51%, plastics stocks fell 0.43%, textile stocks rose 0.28%, machinery/electrical stocks fell 1.52%, paper stocks rose 2.60%, construction stocks rose 0.39%, and financial stocks rose 0.99%.
The number of bid orders was 29,777,110 shares, ask orders 21,885,051 shares, and traded shares 18,432,007 shares.
