National Chengchi University today issued a press release stating that in some rural schools, library books have not been updated for years, and there are insufficient books for class co-reading. Among the previously participating schools, some students recorded podcasts to recommend good books to classmates, while other teachers combined picture books, life education, and Chinese language courses to guide children to learn to express themselves, understand others, and reflect on their own experiences from stories, making books not just a source of knowledge, but also an important medium for children to practice expression and build self-confidence.
