Central News Agency (CNA) Hong Kong, May 13 (Reporter Chang Chien) A satellite imagery company in Hangzhou, China, has been actively recruiting personnel recently after being sanctioned by the US government, and even published a post ironically calling the US sanctions a "surprise."

The company is named MizarVision (覓熵科技(杭州)有限公司). Foreign media previously reported that on May 8, the US added four entities to its sanctions list, alleging that they provided satellite images of US facilities in the Middle East to Iran, threatening the safety of US and partner personnel. MizarVision was among the sanctioned entities.

According to reports, the US State Department stated that MizarVision had published open-source images of US military activities during "Operation Epic Fury."

In late February this year, the US and Israel launched military operations against Iran, dubbed "Operation Epic Fury."

Two days after being sanctioned by the US, MizarVision published a recruitment announcement on Weibo on May 10, stating: "The more complex the external environment, the more we focus on solidifying our technology and making our products hardcore."

The recruitment announcement concluded by saying: "External forces occasionally send us 'surprises,' but we have always been the kind of people who face them with a smile and keep pushing forward..." This was an ironic jab at the US sanctions.

MizarVision plans to recruit personnel including artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm and multimodal fusion engineers, and industry application development engineers.

According to its introduction, MizarVision was established in 2021 and specializes in global multimodal sensor data fusion and geospatial intelligence.

During the US-Israeli military operations against Iran, MizarVision continuously published data and images of US military activities in the Middle East on Weibo, disclosing the movements of major US naval assets such as the USS Lincoln and USS Ford aircraft carriers.
