(Central News Agency, Taipei, May 13) LED manufacturer Everlight announced today that its board of directors has approved a cash capital increase of US$56.5 million for its subsidiary, Everlight Electronics (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. The funding, sourced from the company's own capital, is earmarked for matters such as purchasing land, constructing factories, and installing equipment.
Everlight stated that as of now, excluding this transaction, the cumulative total investment is US$5.88 million, and it holds 98% of the subsidiary's shares.
Everlight also simultaneously released its first-quarter financial report, with consolidated revenue for the single quarter reaching NT$5.04 billion. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent company was NT$403 million, and basic earnings per share were NT$0.91. 1150513
