(Central News Agency reporter Su Mu-chun, Taichung 14th) The Taichung District Prosecutors Office is investigating Yan Xu-ming, Director-General of the Environmental Management Administration, Ministry of Environment, for alleged breach of public trust and other cases. Yesterday, the prosecutor directed the Investigation Bureau and other units to execute searches and brought Yan Xu-ming and others in for investigation. After re-examination by the prosecutor, Yan Xu-ming was released on NT$300,000 bail, while others were released.

The Taiwan Taichung District Prosecutors Office today issued a press release stating that Yan Xu-ming is suspected of breach of public trust and other offenses. The prosecutor of the Taichung District Prosecutors Office on the 13th directed the Taichung City Investigation Office to execute search warrants issued by the court at 7 locations, including the Environmental Management Administration, and interviewed Yan Xu-ming and 14 witnesses.

After re-examination by the prosecutor, it was determined that Yan Xu-ming was highly suspected of committing offenses such as breach of public trust, but there was no necessity for detention.
