Some citizens reported that they were taking the Taipei Metro Bannan Line from Nangang Exhibition Center towards the city center around 8 AM, and the train kept stopping unexpectedly, but the broadcast did not clearly state the reason. Many netizens also posted on the social media platform Threads about encountering similar situations. Some complained that they had been stuck at Banqiao Station for 8 minutes, while others said they waited for 10 minutes, describing the crowded platforms as "hell" and lamenting, "I'm going to be late today."
Taipei Metro Company stated that at 8:36 AM today, a train experienced a signal anomaly while passing through Longshan Temple Station. The train automatically stopped due to its self-tending safety design, requiring approximately 1,000 passengers on board to transfer to the next train. The subsequent train arrived about 2 minutes later to pick up passengers, and train intervals are continuously being adjusted.
