US President Trump is expected to arrive in Beijing on the 13th for a three-day state visit to China, during which he will hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. On the eve of the Trump-Xi summit, Xinhua News Agency published a special article on the 11th titled "Leading the Great Ship of China-US Relations Through Winds and Waves, Moving Forward Steadily," stating that Xi Jinping will have in-depth exchanges of views with Trump on major issues concerning China-US relations and world peace and development.

The article mentioned that this is the first face-to-face meeting between the heads of state of China and the United States since Busan in October last year, and also the first visit by a US president to China in nine years.
