Central News Agency (Reporter Li Jian-zhong, Taipei 12th) The TPBL playoffs continued with an intense battle today, as the Dreamers hosted the Lioneers. Thanks to excellent team defense and Ma Jian-hao's game-high 23 points off the bench, the Dreamers ultimately defeated their opponent 83-61, tying the series 1-1.

The Taiwan Professional Basketball League (TPBL) first round of the playoffs adopts a best-of-five format. The Formosa Dreamers, ranked second in the regular season, faced off against the Hsinchu Lioneers, ranked third.

Having lost the first game, the Dreamers seized the initiative early in today's match. With outstanding team defense, they took a 23-22 lead in the first quarter and extended it to a double-digit advantage of 46-36 by halftime.

After the break, both teams' offense struggled, but the Dreamers maintained a 12-point lead at the end of the third quarter. At the start of the fourth quarter, the Dreamers launched a 15-2 run, with Ma Jian-hao contributing two three-pointers, allowing the team to quickly extend their lead to over 20 points and effectively seal the game early.

The Lioneers' offense was severely hampered today, with a team field goal percentage of only 24.7% and just 7 successful three-pointers out of 35 attempts. Only two players on the entire team scored in double digits, with Lu Guan-xuan, coming off the bench, leading with 13 points.

In contrast, the Dreamers' offense also found success, driven by their excellent defense, with four players scoring in double digits.

Ma Jian-hao, who contributed 23 points off the bench, stated in a post-game interview with the broadcasting unit that due to an injury, it had been a long time since he had played for such an extended period. "I felt a bit pressured, and really wanted to help the team, but when my condition wasn't good, I felt a bit lost."

Ma Jian-hao revealed, "After the first game, coaches, teammates, and friends all came to cheer me on, so in this game, I found my offensive rhythm and successfully helped the team win." (Editor: Xie Ya-zhu) 1150512
