(Central News Agency Reporter Chiang Ming-yen, Taipei, 12th) The Taiwan stock market surged in April, and the food and beverage and tourism domestic demand industries benefited simultaneously, with revenues climbing for Wang Steak, Grand Hi-Lai Foods, Bafang Yunji, and Regent Hotels & Resorts. Operators are optimistic about continued strong operating momentum in the second quarter, bolstered by events such as Mother's Day, Dragon Boat Festival holidays, and Computex Taipei business activities.

Wang Steak, Grand Hi-Lai Foods, Bafang Yunji, and Regent Hotels & Resorts are among the top-tier tourism and food and beverage stocks. Food and beverage stocks have not performed brilliantly recently due to the AI wave's capital attraction effect, but with the Taiwan stock market's strong surge in April, where the weighted index rose by 7200 points in a single month, an increase of 22.7%, the "dining out effect" driven by abundant investor profits allowed the food and beverage domestic demand to also taste the sweetness of the stock market.

Wang Steak Group's consolidated revenue for April was NT$1.93 billion, an annual increase of 13.13%, setting a new record for the same period for three consecutive months; among them, the Taiwan business group's revenue was NT$1.56 billion, an annual increase of 11.82%, and the mainland China business group's revenue was NT$370 million, an annual increase of 19%. Accumulated consolidated revenue for the first four months was NT$8.41 billion, an annual increase of 10.25%.

Wang Steak observed that the strong rise in the Taiwan stock market in April led to a "dining out effect," with demand for high-priced restaurants, yakiniku, and fine dining increasing. In May, driven by the Labor Day holiday and Mother's Day, performance continued to reach new highs, with single-day revenue on Mother's Day weekend exceeding NT$110 million for two consecutive days.

Grand Hi-Lai Foods' April revenue was NT$515 million, an annual increase of 25.42%, setting a new record for the same period; revenue for the first four months was NT$2.503 billion, an annual increase of 16.65%, breaking historical records.

Grand Hi-Lai Foods pointed out that April, traditionally considered an off-season for dining, showed robust business this year. Especially after the opening of the Hanshin Intercontinental Shopping Plaza in Taichung in early April, it boosted consumption power in the northern Taichung area, benefiting four brands opened by Grand Hi-Lai Foods.

Bafang Yunji's consolidated revenue for April was NT$760 million, an annual increase of 7.91%, also setting a new record for the same period; revenue for the first four months was NT$3.02 billion, an annual increase of 4.9%. Although affected by consecutive holidays, it declined compared to March, but with store expansion driving economies of scale, Bafang Yunji had 1043 stores across Taiwan and expanded to 15 stores in the United States by the end of April.

Regent Hotels & Resorts' net profit after tax in the first quarter was NT$733 million, an annual increase of 84.39%; excluding one-time gains from equity sales, core business profit still increased by 16.35% annually. Revenue for the first four months was NT$2.46 billion, continuing to set a new record for the same period. Regent Hotels & Resorts is also optimistic about the Dragon Boat Festival and summer peak season, as well as business accommodation and dining demand brought by Computex Taipei and international conferences.
