(Central News Agency reporter Wang Hung-kuo, New Taipei 12th) The New Taipei City Government will launch the "Danjiang Voyage Fun" event in conjunction with the opening of the Danjiang Bridge. It claimed to collaborate with One Piece to create "Taiwan's first Thousand Sunny," but was questioned by legislator Chen Wei-chieh, who suggested it was the Thousand Sunny left over from an event held in Tainan years ago. The Director of the Tourism and Travel Bureau responded that he was unclear and would investigate.

The New Taipei City Tourism and Travel Bureau recently issued a press release stating that in conjunction with the "opening of the Danjiang Bridge," it would cross-collaborate with the globally popular IP "One Piece" to launch the "Danjiang Voyage Fun" event from May 16 to July 12. The venue would feature "Taiwan's first" 12-meter-tall "Thousand Sunny" main lantern light show, which visitors could board.

Kuomintang (KMT) legislator Chen Wei-chieh pointed out during interpellation that the Tourism and Travel Bureau's press release mentioned the "12-meter Thousand Sunny main lantern as Taiwan's first," but Tainan had already featured a 12-meter large Thousand Sunny land balloon in its 112 (2023) Sea Tide Festival event.

Chen Wei-chieh suggested that the Tourism and Travel Bureau should be more cautious in verifying information released to the public to avoid misleading the public. He also hoped that the city government could consider incorporating more original elements of the Danjiang Bridge and Tamsui's local culture, rather than just a modular exhibition.

Yang Tsung-min, Director of the Tourism and Travel Bureau, stated that he was unaware that Tainan had exhibited the same Thousand Sunny and would discuss it with the vendor and clarify after the meeting. Chen Wei-chieh immediately requested the Tourism and Travel Bureau to provide a review report within one week. (Edited by: Li Hsi-chang) 1150512
