A small truck driver was trapped and critically injured. After being rescued by firefighters, he was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead. The Changhua County Fire Department received a report around 10 AM and dispatched personnel to the scene. They found the small truck driver, surnamed Chou, trapped inside the vehicle, with no breathing or heartbeat. After being extricated, he was given appropriate treatment and immediately sent to the hospital by ambulance. Despite rescue efforts, he was pronounced dead.

The Third Highway Police Brigade of the National Highway Police Bureau, Ministry of the Interior, stated that preliminary investigations indicate that the driver, surnamed Chou, was driving in the auxiliary lane on National Highway 1 southbound at the 197.8 km mark in Changhua City. He is suspected of failing to pay attention to the road conditions ahead, colliding with two large trucks and one small truck, causing the accident. The scene was cleared at 11:31 AM, and all lanes were reopened to traffic.

The Third Highway Police Brigade stated that the driver, surnamed Chou, has not yet been tested for alcohol levels, while the alcohol levels of all other drivers were 0.
