Before the official opening of the Danjiang Bridge today morning, while Transportation Minister Chen Shih-kai and others were queuing at the Tamsui end, a 24-year-old man surnamed Shan suddenly rode a regular heavy white-plate motorcycle, forcibly entering the car lane from the Bali end and was intercepted by police at the Tamsui end.

The police stated that Mr. Shan rode a modified white-plate regular heavy motorcycle from the interchange of Provincial Highway 64 and Provincial Highway 61 at 10:58 AM, forcibly entering the car lane of the Danjiang Bridge after refusing police interception.

The police pointed out that they issued four traffic tickets on the spot for violating traffic regulations, including unauthorized modification of exhaust pipes, motorcycles driving on high-speed/expressways, causing noise in ways other than removing silencers, and failure to comply with inspection and enforcement.
