(Central News Agency reporter Cheng Wei-chen, Changhua, 12th) A man surnamed Hsieh, who lured minor girls to film nude dancing videos by falsely claiming they could earn prize money in an online dance contest, and then threatened them to introduce friends to participate, has been sentenced to 13 years and 6 months in prison by the Changhua District Court for violating the Child and Youth Sexual Exploitation Prevention Act. A total of 6 victims were identified.

According to the judgment of the Taiwan Changhua District Court, the man surnamed Hsieh falsely claimed on the social media platform Instagram that participants could earn prizes and money by joining an online dance contest. After participants filmed dancing videos as instructed, the man immediately told them their scores were very high and asked them to add him as a contact on Telegram. He then instructed them to film nude photos and dancing videos based on a sample and send them back, also demanding that they introduce other minor girls to participate.

If participants expressed their intention to withdraw from the contest or were unwilling to introduce other girls, the man surnamed Hsieh would threaten them with the dissemination of sexual images, causing them to fear. One girl, unable to bear the harassment, reported the case to the Changhua County Police Bureau. The Criminal Investigation Bureau of the National Police Agency, Ministry of the Interior, seized the man's cloud account and, through cross-referencing, identified a total of 6 victims.

The judge noted that the defendant had been previously sentenced for two similar cases but showed no remorse, instead refining his deceptive methods. He exploited the anonymity of communication software and the naivety of the young victims, who were easily deceived and aspired to beauty pageants or dance contests. He tricked the girls into filming nude content for his viewing pleasure, and then further threatened them after obtaining the images, severely harming the physical and mental development of the victims.

The Changhua District Court considered that the man surnamed Hsieh has not yet reconciled with the victims and shows no remorse. Therefore, he was found guilty of 6 counts of violating the Child and Youth Sexual Exploitation Prevention Act by causing minors to film sexual images against their will, and sentenced to a total of 13 years and 6 months in prison. The verdict can be appealed. (Edited by Chang Ya-ching) 1150512
