KAOHSIUNG (CNA) – Taiwan Water Corporation announced today that due to water pipe repairs in Kaohsiung City's Cishan District, there will be a water outage from 9 AM on May 13th to 8 AM on May 14th, affecting water supply for a total of 23 hours. This will impact 19,000 households across 6 districts, including Gangshan, Tianliao, and Cishan.

Taiwan Water Corporation's Seventh District Management Office issued a press release today stating that due to water pipe repairs in Cishan District, construction requires electrical welding personnel to enter the pipe for repair work, necessitating a temporary suspension of water supply. The planned water outage will be for 23 hours, from 9 AM on May 13th to 8 AM on May 14th, affecting 19,000 households.

The areas affected by the water outage include the entire Yanchao District; Qixing, Sanhe, Datong, Guting, Tianliao, Xide, Nan'an, Chongde, and Xinxing villages in Tianliao District; Fengshan and Alian villages in Alian District; Sanhe, Huagang, and Dazhuang villages in Gangshan District; Shangzhou, Xinguang, Dashan, Kunzhou, Nanzhou, Nansheng, Zhongzhou, Zhongliao, and Sanxie villages in Cishan District; and Tongling Village in Dashu District.

The Seventh District Management Office of Taiwan Water Corporation stated that other areas will have normal water supply, but in areas at the end of the water pipeline, high-rise buildings, and elevated areas, it will take some time for water pressure to return to normal after supply resumes, thus delaying the restoration of water supply. Residents affected are reminded to store water in advance. (Edited by Li Hsi-chang) 1150511
