The weighted index opened at 41714 points, reached a high of 42021.78 points during the day, and a low of 41529.25 points; the index excluding financial stocks was 37905.38 points, up 201.83 points.
The gains and losses of the eight major industry categories were: cement and ceramics stocks rose 0.97%, food stocks rose 0.08%, plastics and chemicals stocks rose 0.84%, textile stocks rose 0.40%, electrical machinery stocks rose 0.54%, paper stocks rose 0.08%, construction stocks rose 1.15%, and financial stocks fell 0.72%.
The number of bid orders was 24,495,982 shares, the number of ask orders was 16,355,289 shares, and the number of transacted shares was 12,975,803 shares.
At closing, 550 companies rose, 481 companies fell, and 70 companies remained unchanged.
