(Central News Agency reporter Wang Hung-kuo, New Taipei, 11th) New Taipei Mayor Hou Yu-ih today addressed the alleged peeping incidents involving medical aesthetic clinic chains like Aerlry, stating that the city government has launched a comprehensive public security team investigation, and that "these are considered very egregious acts, and will absolutely not be tolerated."

The New Taipei City Government previously announced the formation of a joint public security team specifically for alleged peeping incidents involving medical aesthetic groups. This team is expanding the "Anti-pinhole Inspection Project" to cover all medical aesthetic clinics, sports venues, fitness centers, and saunas in the city, to protect citizens' privacy and right to medical care.

Hou Yu-ih today, during an inspection tour before the Sanying Line's operational review, was interviewed by the media. Regarding the alleged peeping incidents in medical aesthetic groups, he stated that the city government, including health, civil affairs, police, and legal consumer protection officers, has formed a joint task force for comprehensive investigation. He also demanded that consumer protection officers coordinate and actively intervene to ensure victims receive due protection.

He stated that law enforcement agencies, including the police, should actively handle and confront these illegal peeping acts that violate privacy, to protect the rights of the people. "These are considered very egregious acts, and will absolutely not be tolerated."

Hou Yu-ih stated that the city government is not only actively investigating but also requiring consumer protection officers to safeguard everyone's legal rights. Legal consultation is specifically provided, with lawyers assisting in solving difficulties, taking a project-oriented approach to fully confront and actively investigate, protecting all victims and consumers.
