(Central News Agency reporter Lu Yen-tzu, Taipei, 11th) The Ministry of Finance has been promoting the revitalization of state-owned assets. According to statistics, the revenue from the revitalization of state-owned public property reached NT$46.7 billion last year, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%. The "Grand Palace Restaurant" of the National Palace Museum and the Army Officers' Club (General Sun Li-jen's Residence) managed by the Ministry of National Defense Army Command are highlighted as successful cases.

The National Property Administration of the Ministry of Finance held a regular press conference today to announce the revenue from the revitalization of state-owned public property over the past five years. From 2021 to 2025, the revenues were NT$39.6 billion, NT$44.8 billion, NT$46.9 billion, NT$45.6 billion, and NT$46.7 billion, respectively.

Officials explained that the slight decrease in 2024 compared to the previous year was due to the corporatization of the former Taiwan Railways Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, whose revenue is no longer included in state-owned public property income. Apart from this, the overall trend still shows stable growth, indicating the effectiveness of various agencies' continuous efforts to promote asset revitalization.

The National Property Administration stated that by combining cultural, tourism, and private resources, state-owned public property can not only be effectively utilized but also create diverse values and public benefits, while preserving precious cultural memories and shaping distinctive public spaces.

The National Property Administration listed three major successful cases in recent years. The first is the "Shanhai Yijia (Mountain House) Hotel" under the jurisdiction of the Matsu National Scenic Area Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications Tourism Bureau. Located at a commanding height in Xiju Qingfan Village, Juguang Township, Lienchiang County, it transformed military relics into a hotel with battlefield characteristics through an OT (Operate-Transfer) outsourced management model, balancing asset preservation and space reuse.

The second successful case is the Army Officers' Club (General Sun Li-jen's Residence) managed by the Ministry of National Defense Army Command. It was designated as a municipal historic site by the Taipei City Government in 2004. Through an ROT (Reconstruct-Operate-Transfer) outsourced management model, it combined the reuse of a century-old historic space, continued its historical and cultural value, and transformed into a multi-functional venue with cultural significance. It has now developed into a popular wedding banquet hall and event space, deeply loved by the public.

The National Property Administration stated that the third successful case is the "Grand Palace Restaurant" of the National Palace Museum, which combines museum cultural resources and introduces professional private catering teams for operation. In addition to providing exquisite dining services, its menu design and tableware also incorporate the imagery of National Palace Museum artifacts, enhancing the overall dining experience and cultural perception, attracting domestic and international tourists, and demonstrating outstanding results in combining culture and tourism.
