(Central News Agency reporter Li Xianfeng, Hualien County, 11th) A fire broke out tonight in Lintianshan, Hualien. The military dependents' village behind the Senhuo Hall in the park caught fire, and the flames spread rapidly, also affecting the unrenovated hot spring dormitory buildings nearby. The fire was fierce and thick smoke billowed into the sky. Fire and police personnel urgently dispatched multiple fire trucks for rescue, and fortunately, there were no casualties.
The Hualien Branch of the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency stated that the fire area is located within the Lintianshan settlement complex, in the 9th and 10th neighborhoods of Senrong Village, which is the inner part of the settlement. Currently, only one household is inhabited. Due to the many old wooden buildings on site, the fire spread quickly and was fierce at one point. After the fire broke out, the Wanrong Work Station immediately activated its emergency response mechanism, and the work station's firefighting team also assisted in extinguishing the fire.
The Hualien County Fire Department pointed out that it has dispatched teams from Wanrong, Shoufeng, and Fuyuan to participate in the rescue. Preliminary statistics show that a total of 3 buildings were affected by the fire, including 2 vacant houses and 1 military dependents' village residence belonging to a resident surnamed Gu. Fortunately, when the fire broke out, Mr. Gu and his family had already escaped in time, resulting in no casualties.
Mr. Gu initially stated that the fire was suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit, but the actual cause of the fire is still awaiting investigation and clarification by fire investigators after the fire is completely extinguished.
