FSC Chairman Peng Jin-lung stated today that as the capital market continues to expand, the Securities and Futures Bureau and the Taiwan Stock Exchange will supervise securities firms. The Securities and Futures Bureau said that the Taiwan Stock Exchange had already met with the Securities Dealers Association and securities firms on April 30, requesting them to upgrade their hardware and software equipment to ensure smooth online trading.

During the review of the FSC's budget for the 115th fiscal year by the Legislative Yuan's Finance Committee, Kuomintang legislator Lai Shyh-bao raised concerns that with the heated Taiwan stock market, Taishin Securities recently experienced a system crash, and several other securities firms also had slow trading conditions. He asked how the FSC plans to prevent such situations from recurring.

Peng Jin-lung stated that as the capital market continues to expand, securities firms inherently need to ensure service quality and stability, but it takes time for operators to adjust. The FSC's Securities and Futures Bureau and the Taiwan Stock Exchange will supervise securities firms.

FSC Securities and Futures Bureau Director Kao Ching-ping pointed out that they have indeed noticed this issue. The Taiwan Stock Exchange had already met with the Securities Dealers Association and securities firms on April 30, requesting them to upgrade their hardware and software equipment and to pay close attention to issues with online trading apps to ensure smooth order placement via apps.
