National Central University announced today in a press release that the Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation is dedicated to advocating the concept of "facial equality," deeply rooted in campuses for a long time, and continuously conducting social education. It hopes that "appearance characteristics" will no longer be a reason for exclusion or discrimination for people with facial disfigurements, and that an inclusive generation where every face can receive fair treatment and equal respect will arrive.

National Central University is located in Taoyuan City, which has the largest Hakka population in Taiwan. The Department of Hakka Language and Social Sciences at National Central University, in collaboration with the Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation, is launching the "It's Okay to Be Different" (meaning "It's okay to be different") facial equality Hakka language video contest for the first time.
