(Taipei, May 11, CNA reporter Kao Hua-chien) Examination Yuan Vice President Hsu Shu-hsiang today led a team to the Lienchiang County Government for a forum, exchanging views on issues such as engineering workforce allocation, handling of bullying cases, and promotion training selection methods. Hsu Shu-hsiang explained that all relevant suggestions will be incorporated into deliberations, and progress will be tracked, managed, and reported back to the county government.

The Examination Yuan stated through a press release that Hsu Shu-hsi today led Examination Commissioners Chiu Wen-yen, Teng Chia-chi, Lu Chiu-hui, Huang Tung-yi, as well as personnel from the Examination Yuan and its subordinate agencies, to the Lienchiang County Government for a business exchange forum with the county government team. Both sides exchanged views on issues such as engineering workforce allocation, handling of bullying cases, promotion training selection methods, and the bonus system for public veterinarians.

Hsu Shu-hsi stated in his opening remarks that the Examination Yuan highly values direct communication and interaction with local governments, continuously arranging visits to various county and city governments for forums. Through face-to-face communication, they listen to grassroots suggestions and jointly seek directions for improvement, making the system more aligned with agency needs. Therefore, personnel from the Examination Yuan's business units also participated in this forum, so that by listening to local government opinions, they can provide more practical and grounded staff suggestions during bill review.

Hsu Shu-hsi mentioned that the Examination Yuan has always attached great importance to civil service talent in outlying islands. In the past two years, the special examinations for outlying islands, whether in terms of required quotas, number of applicants, number of successful candidates, or actual reporting numbers after assignment, have all reached new highs compared to other civil service examinations, which should be beneficial for the recruitment of civil service talent in Lienchiang County.

Hsu Shu-hsi stated that all relevant issues and suggestions discussed in this forum will be incorporated into deliberations. Some problems may not be resolved immediately, but all will be tracked and managed, and progress will be reported back to the county government later.

Lienchiang County Magistrate Wang Chung-ming stated in his speech that the Lienchiang County Government is very concerned about talent cultivation and retention, hoping that through talent training programs, talent will be willing to stay and serve in Lienchiang County. He also noted that the Examination Yuan has actively planned special examinations for outlying islands in recent years and officially held them in 2024, which has been very helpful for local youth to engage in public sector service.

Wang Chung-ming also mentioned that the county government is actively organizing elite talent training classes and recommending members of these classes for overseas training and visits, hoping to inject new vitality into the public service workforce in the Matsu region.

The Examination Yuan stated that it will continue to deepen exchanges with local areas in the future, promote the alignment of systems and practices, and inject more momentum into the development of outlying islands. (Editor: Chang Jo-yao) 1150511
