(Central News Agency reporter Chang Chien-chung, Hsinchu, 11th) Memory module manufacturer ADATA today announced that it has signed a 100-hectare afforestation, reforestation, and vegetation restoration (ARR) development project with Atenil S.A. of Paraguay, and will jointly invest in biochar technology research, development, and application.

ADATA issued a press release, stating that Chairman Chen Li-bai said this cooperation is an opportunity initiated by the "Rongbang Project" jointly promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Environment, further transforming the memorandum of understanding signed at COP30 last year into a concrete sustainable action plan.

Chen Li-bai pointed out that this not only symbolizes a new milestone in Taiwan-Paraguay sustainable diplomacy but also demonstrates ADATA's green initiative being transformed into concrete international influence, contributing Taiwan's key experience to global net-zero and sustainable development.

ADATA stated that the cooperation with Atenil S.A. covers natural carbon sink development, circular economy, and waste management, and further extends sustainable values to cultural, educational, sports, and entertainment humanitarian fields, comprehensively expanding the impact of net-zero sustainability.

ADATA pointed out that both parties will launch a 100-hectare afforestation, reforestation, and vegetation restoration project, forming a multinational team to expand carbon economy deployment in Southeast Asia and Africa, promoting carbon removal and ecological restoration through natural solutions.

ADATA stated that both parties also plan to invest in biochar technology R&D, transforming forestry waste biomass into high-value products for soil improvement, agricultural development, and carbon sequestration, and establishing a circular economy model of "waste utilization, carbon sequestration, value regeneration," while balancing clean energy and local employment.
