(Central News Agency reporter Wang Chao-yu, Yilan, 10th) The Yilan Green Expo concluded today. The county government stated that it attracted approximately 450,000 participants over the 44-day exhibition period, creating over 770 million TWD in tourism value. The Yilan International Children's Folklore & Folkgame Festival, a major annual summer event in Yilan, will make its grand appearance on July 4th.

Lin Mao-sheng, Acting County Mayor of Yilan, attended the closing ceremony, which marked the successful conclusion of the Green Expo's "Treasures of Knowledge and Nature" journey, advocating for coexistence with all things. He pointed out that after 27 years of accumulation, the Green Expo has transformed from an exhibition into an important platform for promoting environmental sustainability. This year, 18 land and water exhibition areas were planned, covering soil formation, plant ecology, marine science, and energy transition, turning abstract issues into tangible learning experiences.

Tsai Chiao-lien, Director of the Comprehensive Planning Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, quoted "If flowers bloom, butterflies will come," praising the Green Expo for its continuous organization over many years, fully demonstrating the value of six-level agriculture and sustainability. The Ministry of Agriculture will continue to support the holding of this event.

The closing ceremony today, themed "Investigating Things to Achieve Knowledge, All Things Resonate," began with international performers interpreting "The Heartbeat of the Earth" with African djembe drums. The Lanyang Dance Troupe then connected with the classic Children's Folklore & Folkgame Festival theme song "Dreamland of Youth" through "Endless Cradle," passing the baton to the "2026 Yilan International Children's Folklore & Folkgame Festival" amidst the sounds of "Diudiu Tongzai," train whistles, and Atayal children's songs.

The Yilan County Government pointed out that this year's Children's Folklore & Folkgame Festival, themed "Immersive Forest Experience," will take place from July 4th to August 16th at Dongshan River Water Park. It aims to create a summer experience combining games, art, and culture through a multi-sensory forest scenario design. (Editor: Li Shu-hua) 1150510
