After a vote by all attending members, Yeh Cheng-yen, the current President of the Sports Federation, was elected as the new chairman with a high vote. He vowed, "I will lead the new team to create a new chapter for Taiwan's tug-of-war."

Chen Jianping, the outgoing chairman who served for 8 years, stated in his speech today, "The 8-year term passed in a blink of an eye. First and foremost, I sincerely thank all members and cadres for their support, which gave me the opportunity to serve everyone."

He mentioned that over these 8 years, thanks to the selfless dedication and support of every member, Taiwan's tug-of-war community jointly completed many wonderful activities. Stepping down is not an end, but the beginning of another form of companionship, and he hopes the new team will lead the association to prosperity.

Yeh Cheng-yen, the new chairman, is also the President of the Chinese Taipei Sports Federation. For many years, he has strongly supported the development of sports in Taiwan, actively cultivated new sports talents, and demonstrated the proactive spirit of sports professionals, making him an important driving force in Taiwan's sports arena.
