Taipei City Maternal and Child Hospital to Open in June, Featuring All-Female Doctor Clinic

(Taipei, May 10, Central News Agency reporter Yang Shu-min) On Mother's Day today, Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an announced that the Taipei City Maternal and Child Hospital will be unveiled in June. It will feature the nation's first cold chain breast milk delivery bank and Taiwan's first comprehensive long-term care facility for children, and in the future, it will also have an all-female medical team and a dedicated 'Good Doctor Clinic' for women.

Chiang Wan-an congratulated all great mothers on Mother's Day via Facebook and announced that the Taipei City Maternal and Child Hospital will officially open in June. A few days prior, he visited to understand the preparation progress, stating, 'This is not just a hospital, but a warm medical environment tailored to the needs of mothers, women, and children.'

Chiang Wan-an stated that the Maternal and Child Hospital will be equipped with the nation's first cold chain breast milk delivery bank, cozy family birthing rooms, and Taiwan's first comprehensive long-term care facility for children. In the future, it will also have an all-female medical team and a dedicated 'Good Doctor Clinic' for women.

The Taipei City Hospital told Central News Agency reporters that the Taipei City Maternal and Child Hospital is set to officially open in late June. At that time, the nation's first cold chain breast milk delivery bank refers to the second phase of the 'Breast Milk Bank Cold Chain Transport Project,' which will deliver frozen breast milk to more distribution points via specialized cold chain logistics vehicles.

Taipei City Hospital stated that the cozy family birthing rooms and Taiwan's first comprehensive long-term care facility for children will also be launched simultaneously, while the 'Good Doctor Clinic' will be activated subsequently.

Regarding the comprehensive long-term care facility for children, Taipei City Hospital explained that in addition to accepting children placed by the Social Welfare Bureau, the Taipei City Maternal and Child Hospital's comprehensive children's long-term care focuses on rehabilitation for children and empowering families. It will provide care services for families with general disabled or severely ill children, as well as acute post-illness care after severe illness, and also include children registered outside Taipei City.
