A citizen today posted images and text on the social media platform Threads, stating that Ruen Postpartum Care Center also engaged in covert filming, specifically in the SPA room. The user mentioned having received massages there 4 times, and other postpartum mothers also undressed for massages there, having spent NT$720,000 for her stay.
The Zhongzheng First Precinct of the Taipei City Police Department received a report from a citizen this afternoon and responded to investigate. After obtaining consent from the operator, they entered the premises for detection and found a suspected smoke detector-shaped camera at the location indicated by the complainant. No other devices were found elsewhere.
It is understood that the police have seized the main unit and will subsequently investigate whether it is a pinhole camera and if covert filming was involved.
