Major News on the US-Iran War

(CNA Doha, 10th comprehensive foreign report) Shipping tracking information indicates that a Qatari liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier today transited the Strait of Hormuz, the first time since the outbreak of the war between the United States and Iran. The ship is expected to sail to Pakistan.

Reuters reported that data from shipping tracking firm Kpler showed that the LNG carrier Al Kharaitiyat, operated by QatarEnergy, safely transited the Strait of Hormuz and is currently sailing towards Pakistan's Port Qasim.

This is the first Qatari vessel carrying LNG to transit the Strait of Hormuz since the US launched military action in alliance with Israel against Iran on February 28th.

Sources had earlier claimed that this shipment received Iranian approval to strengthen trust between Qatar and Pakistan, both mediators in the US-Iran war, and the Tehran authorities.

The US-Iran conflict is currently in a temporary ceasefire, with Washington still awaiting Tehran's response to the latest peace proposal from the US.

US President Donald Trump will visit China this week, with increasing pressure from all sides to end the war, which has triggered a global energy crisis and poses an increasingly serious threat to the world economy. (Compiled by Chen Yen-chun) 1150510
