(Central News Agency reporter Yu Hsiao-feng, Taipei, 10th) The Northern Taiwan Mail Processing Center in Taoyuan experienced mail delivery delays after its activation on the 4th. In response, Chunghwa Post Chairman Wang Kuo-tsai stated that operations are expected to gradually return to normal starting this week.

Chunghwa Post built the Northern Taiwan Mail Processing Center (A7) in Guishan, Taoyuan, but after its activation on the 4th, issues such as mail delivery delays occurred.

Chunghwa Post Chairman Wang Kuo-tsai led General Manager Chiang Jui-tang and Director of Postal Affairs Ko Ching-chang to A7 this evening to commend the employees for their hard work and to listen to the center director Tien Yu-chieh's explanation of the current mail processing situation.

Wang Kuo-tsai stated that since the new automated equipment requires time to break in, he thanked all levels of management at the head office and all colleagues at A7 for their full dedication during this period to maintain postal service quality. He also thanked colleagues from various bureaus who voluntarily came to help during this difficult time.

Wang Kuo-tsai stated that with continuous optimization of automated equipment functions, on-site SOPs, and increased personnel input at the A7 Logistics Park, mail processing efficiency has been significantly improved, and operations are expected to gradually return to normal starting this week.

Wang Kuo-tsai pointed out that he thanked Lin Jung-chou, Chairman of the Chunghwa Post Enterprise Union, labor directors, and branch chairmen for providing many positive suggestions.

Chunghwa Post stated that due to the simultaneous launch of a new site, new equipment, and new operating procedures at A7 recently, the equipment, personnel, and systems were still in the adjustment phase during the initial period of operation, which led to longer processing and dispatch times for some mail, affecting the timeliness of some parcels and registered mail.
