(Taipei CNA, May 10) The KMT Taipei City Party Headquarters today announced the results of the Zhongshan-Datong District Council primary election, where Li Yi-ju emerged victorious in a 2-for-1 contest. As the community chief (里長) of Checheng Village in Daan District, he successfully sought nomination in this cross-district transfer to run in the year-end Taipei City Council election.

The KMT plans to nominate four candidates for Taipei City's 4th electoral district (Zhongshan-Datong). In addition to guaranteeing priority nominations for incumbent councilors Yeh Lin-chuan, Chen Ping-fu, and Liu Tsai-wei, the remaining seat was contested between newcomer Li Yi-ju and Lu Wei, with a public opinion poll conducted from the 7th to the 9th.
