(Central News Agency reporter Wang Hongguo, New Taipei, May 10th) The New Taipei City Traffic Police Brigade stated that Danjiang Bridge adopts a "car and motorcycle segregation" design. During the initial period of opening, the police will strengthen traffic guidance at important intersections at both ends to prevent motorcycles from mistakenly entering. If motorcycles ride on the fast lanes, they will be intercepted and cited according to law.

Danjiang Bridge will officially open on May 12. There have been external concerns about the motorcycle lane being too narrow. New Taipei City Police Commissioner Fang Yang-ning previously stated that some advocates for road rights intended to express their demands by having a large number of motorcycles drive on the main lanes on the day of opening. The police are prepared to respond and control the situation, and will not allow motorcycles to drive on the main lanes.

The New Taipei City Traffic Police Brigade stated today that Danjiang Bridge adopts a "car and motorcycle segregation" design, with car fast lanes, dedicated motorcycle lanes, and slow lanes with pedestrian walkways. From the Tamsui end, vehicles can access the bridge from Section 2 of Zhongzheng Road and the intersection of Shalun Road. From the Bali end, vehicles can enter from Provincial Highway 61 or the Waziwei ramp.

The Traffic Police Brigade stated that during the initial period of opening, the police will strengthen traffic guidance at important intersections at both ends, reminding road users to follow signs and markings to avoid mistakenly entering lanes. If motorcycles ride on the fast lanes, the police will intercept and cite them according to law.

The Traffic Police Brigade pointed out that Danjiang Bridge is an expressway. Illegal driving or illegal parking will be subject to a fine of NT$3,000 to NT$6,000 according to Article 33 of the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act, and parking for photos or lingering on the bridge is strictly prohibited.

The Traffic Police Brigade pointed out that considering the holiday tourist traffic, time-based restrictions and technology-based enforcement measures will be implemented for heavy trucks. For the Tamsui end towards Bali, the Shalun ramp will be fully restricted all day. Additionally, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM on holidays, the Binhai ramp and Lane 51, Section 2 of Zhongzheng Road will be restricted, with heavy trucks rerouted to Provincial Highway 2B. For the Bali end towards Tamsui, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM on holidays, Provincial Highway 61 connecting to Danjiang Bridge and the Zhongxiao Road ramp will be restricted, with heavy trucks rerouted to Provincial Highway 15 and Guandu Bridge.
