Affected by declining birthrates, a wave of retirements, and industrial changes, vacancies have increased in recent years, while the number of applicants has decreased.

The Ministry of Education today issued a press release stating that the "115th Academic Year Public Senior High School Teacher Recruitment Exam" held this morning at 8 schools nationwide involved 104 national schools and 53 public schools (schools affiliated with counties, cities, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of National Defense), releasing a total of 697 vacancies across 66 categories, an increase from last year (the 114th academic year had 58 categories and 541 vacancies).

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education, a total of 5802 people completed the registration process this year. For the preliminary exam held today, the actual number of attendees was 5297, with 505 absentees, resulting in an attendance rate of 91.3% (the 114th academic year attendance rate was 90.38%). The estimated number of people advancing to the second round is 1638 (1323 in the 114th academic year).

The Ministry of Education stated that, in accordance with the recruitment guidelines, the preliminary exam questions and answers will be posted online after the exam concludes. Candidates who have questions about the exam questions or answers can submit an online application for question doubts to the test administration unit before 11 PM tonight.
