After trial by the Kaohsiung District Court, Wang and the two others were sentenced to 12 years and 10 years and 6 months in prison, respectively.
The Kaohsiung District Court judgment stated that Wang and the fugitive accomplice Jiang held the primary positions, instructing Zhou and E to monitor the victims' daily routines, arrange the detention location, and investigate the kidnapping route.
The judgment pointed out that Jiang and others subsequently used inhumane methods such as handcuffs and shackles to restrain the victims' limbs, placed them entirely in large plastic barrels, and then transported them in the trunk of a car.
