(Central News Agency Reporter Shen Pei-yao, Taipei, May 9 News) Aierli Medical Aesthetics Clinic, suspected of installing hidden cameras for clandestine filming, issued its latest statement today, re-apologizing and emphasizing that it will officially allocate NT$100 million to establish a "Member Protection Trust Fund" on May 11 to dispel consumer doubts about subsequent handling procedures.
It was recently discovered that a smoke detector in Aierli Clinic's Banqiao branch in New Taipei was suspected of concealing a pinhole camera. After investigation by New Taipei prosecutors and police, disguised surveillance mainframes and lenses were seized from multiple branches. Aierli Group President Chang Ju-shan, Assistant Manager Chang, and vendor Hsieh were detained and restricted from communication for alleged offenses related to invading sexual privacy.
On May 7, Aierli Group announced its refund application process. Today, it issued another statement, expressing deep regret for the recent disturbances and anxieties caused by related incidents, and sincerely apologizing to all members.
The statement pledged, "We solemnly commit that the Group will officially allocate NT$100 million to establish a Member Protection Trust Fund on Monday (May 11), which will be jointly supervised and managed by professional lawyers and accountants, with progress regularly reported to the public."
The statement also promised that the trust amount would be adjusted as appropriate according to actual circumstances, and would be announced immediately after the trust procedure is completed, ensuring that all member rights and interests are fully protected and dispelling consumer doubts about subsequent handling procedures, thereby demonstrating public trust.
In addition, Aierli emphasized that it will conduct a comprehensive internal review and system optimization, continuing to improve with a more transparent, rigorous, and responsible attitude. (Editor: Huang Ming-hsi) 1150509
