US-Iran War Key News

Central News Agency

(Central News Agency, Abu Dhabi, 8th, comprehensive foreign report) Industry sources and shipping data show that the United Arab Emirates and various buyers have recently covertly sailed several oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, with these vessels turning off their location trackers to avoid Iranian attacks.

Reuters reported that although these volumes represent only a small fraction of the UAE's standard exports before the outbreak of the US-Iran war, they are sufficient to highlight the country and various buyers' willingness to take risks to resume oil business.

Other oil-producing countries in the Persian Gulf have either suspended sales or significantly lowered prices to attract buyers, such as Iraq, Kuwait, and Qatar, while Saudi Arabia can only transport oil through the Red Sea.

According to three sources, Kpler vessel tracking data, and SynMax satellite data analysis, Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) successfully exported at least 6 million barrels of crude oil from terminals within the Persian Gulf in April this year via four oil tankers.

This crude oil was transferred ship-to-ship to another vessel bound for a refinery in Southeast Asia, or unloaded at storage facilities in Oman, or sailed directly to a refinery in South Korea.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. declined to comment on the Reuters report. (Compiled by Chen Yen-chun) 1150508
