For the Taitung Expo debuting this summer, Taitung County Magistrate Rao Ching-ling today led her team to launch the "Taitung Expo Licensed Products Taoyuan Airport Pop-up Store" at the Taiwan Hao Plaza in Terminal 2 restricted area of Taoyuan International Airport. A total of 21 local quality manufacturers are offering 64 Taitung specialty souvenirs, with the exhibition running until the 31st.
The Taitung County Government later issued a press release, in which Rao Ching-ling stated that as the first external promotional event for the "2026 Taitung Expo," taking the lead in Taoyuan Airport not only symbolizes the official international launch of the Taitung brand but also hopes to use the important national gateway to allow more domestic and international travelers to see and get to know Taitung during their journeys.
Rao Ching-ling stated that the 2026 Taitung Expo will open on July 3 and continue until August 20, connecting nine major exhibition areas and ten major curatorial themes across the county, and gathering 23 themed exhibitions and 200 events. Rao Ching-ling stated that the "2026 Taitung Expo" aims to present not just the exhibition itself but also the accumulated results of Taitung's years of effort in land, culture, industry, and lifestyle.
The Taitung County Government Cultural Affairs Department stated that the Taoyuan Airport pop-up store is collaborating with Tasa Meng Duty Free Shop, bringing together various Taitung Expo licensed products such as Taitung red oolong tea, coffee, snacks, roselle, honey, chili sauce, and vinegar drinks. Through thematic curation, brand display, and characteristic sales, it presents Taitung's rich local scenery and creative energy.
The exhibition and sales content covers diverse categories such as local flavors, selected lifestyle goods, and cultural crafts, allowing travelers, even with a short stay, to quickly experience Taitung's mountain and sea landscapes, cultural stories, and slow living style, further bringing the taste, memories, and lifestyle of Taitung into their journey.
In addition to product sales, interactive experience activities are also planned on-site, including glass and shell ginger handicraft experiences, as well as Taitung Good Coffee flavor sharing, allowing the public not only to see the products but also to feel the delicate texture and warmth of Taitung's culture through actual participation.
