Taichung-Changhua-Nantou Disability Employment Fair: Job Analysis Helps Companies Find Talent

(Central News Agency reporter Su Mu-chun, Taichung, 8th) The Central-Southern-Eastern Branch of the Ministry of Labor's Workforce Development Agency today invited 27 companies to hold a "Disability Employment Fair" at the Taichung World Trade Center. Over 500 job seekers with disabilities and their accompanying family members participated. The organizers hope to help companies find suitable talent through job analysis and simulation.

The fair, held at the Taichung World Trade Center, offered approximately 600 job vacancies across technology, manufacturing, catering, and medical industries, combining resources such as career exploration and vocational rehabilitation.

Minister Huang Ling-yu of the Workforce Development Agency stated at the meeting that the government continues to promote the quota employment system, with the latest statistics showing that the full employment rate reached 92% in January 2026. The Ministry of Labor launched the "Trial Operation Guidelines for Employers Supporting Employment of Persons with Disabilities" in March, providing an annual subsidy of up to NT$300,000 to companies that hire 3 or more disabled employees and propose a workplace support plan.

Liu Hsiu-chen, Director of the Central-Southern-Eastern Branch, who attended the event, said that this year's fair continues to promote "interview process optimization" by replacing traditional Q&A interviews with job analysis and situational simulations, allowing job seekers to demonstrate their abilities through practical operations and helping companies more accurately assess person-job fit. Many participating companies stated that observing practical operations helps them find more suitable talent.

In addition, Luo Qun-mu, Deputy Director of the Taichung City Government Labor Bureau, He Jun-sheng, Director of the Changhua County Government Labor Affairs Department, and Lai Qiong-mei, Deputy Director of the Nantou County Government Social and Labor Bureau, also attended.
