The total budget cap is set at NT$780 billion, with the first wave of U.S. arms purchases capped at NT$300 billion and the second wave capped at NT$480 billion.

The Legislative Yuan today passed the "Special Act for Safeguarding National Security and Strengthening Asymmetric Warfare Capabilities Procurement Plan" through its third reading. The act specifies procurement items including M109A7 self-propelled howitzers, HIMARS multiple rocket launcher systems, anti-armor drone missile systems, Javelin anti-armor missiles, TOW 2B anti-armor missiles, and other military procurement items that the U.S. government agrees to grant within one year after the implementation of the act, such as soft/hard-kill mixed counter-drone systems, various anti-ballistic and air defense missiles, medium-to-low altitude air defense systems, and replenishment of anti-armor missile combat readiness stockpiles.
