New Taipei prosecutors and police inspected branches of Glaucier Clinic, including its Banqiao Qian and other locations, today. Glaucier Clinic issued a statement apologizing, explaining that the in-clinic camera equipment was intended to ensure medical quality with no intent to infringe on privacy, and pledged full cooperation with the prosecutors'' investigation. Following the secret filming incident at Airlie Clinic, New Taipei police received reports alleging similar activities at other cosmetic clinics. Today, New Taipei prosecutors and police, along with the Health Bureau, conducted inspections at Glaucier Clinic''s Banqiao Qian, Zhongshan, and other branches. Glaucier Clinic stated today that it places high importance on the controversy surrounding its surveillance equipment and immediately initiated a comprehensive internal review, committing to fully cooperate with the competent authorities and judicial investigation units. The clinic explained that the original purpose of installing camera equipment was purely for ''ensuring medical quality,'' ''on-site safety management and maintenance of public order,'' and ''security of pharmaceuticals and equipment,'' with no intention of deliberate concealment or infringement upon consumer privacy. Glaucier Clinic emphasized that it has undertaken a full review and improvement process in response to the concerns raised by this incident. It promised that all camera equipment used in the clinic must be openly visible, standard-recognizable devices, and that no hidden or pinhole cameras will be used.
