(Central News Agency reporter Liao Wen-chi, Shanghai 8th) Japan's super popular IP Pokémon has appeared at the Shanghai Flower Festival, hosting the 'Pokémon Flower Path Roaming' event. At the main venue in Shanghai's Zhongshan Park, a 6-meter tall Snorlax lies in a sea of flowers, alongside stamp rallies and craft activities, attracting Pokémon players with diverse ways to play.

The 'Pokémon Flower Path Roaming' is part of the '2026 Shanghai International Flower Festival,' held from April 24 to May 24 in Shanghai's Changning District. The main venue, 'Zhongshan Park,' features many large Pokémon photo-op installations, with the most eye-catching being the 6-meter tall Snorlax inflatable lying in a sea of flowers. On the lawn next to Snorlax, many Pokémon beanbag chairs are arranged, where many adults and children comfortably lie down, enjoying the spring sunshine with Snorlax.

In addition to Snorlax, popular characters such as Meowth, Gyarados, and Lilligant also have photo-op installations, and Pokémon meet-and-greets are regularly held, allowing 'Pokémon Trainers' to take photos together.

The main venue at Zhongshan Park also offers many hands-on experience activities, such as the 'Pokémon Intangible Cultural Heritage Craft Class,' where visitors can 'pinch dough' to create their favorite Pokémon; and 'Healing Flower Wreaths,' where flower material kits are distributed for participants to make flower wreaths for their Pokémon dolls, echoing the theme of the Shanghai Flower Festival, suitable for both adults and children.

There is also a 'Stamp Rally,' where stamp books are distributed on-site. 'Pokémon Trainers' need to collect stamps at various stamp points, and upon completing the rally, they can receive a small prize for free. Interestingly, this stamp rally requires an 'urban roaming' experience, as only 5 stamps can be collected at the Zhongshan Park main venue, while the remaining 6 stamp points are scattered across other locations in Shanghai, encouraging players to explore multiple Pokémon-related spots in Shanghai.

However, the 'Pokémon Trainers' present did not find it troublesome, actively asking staff for the locations of each stamp point and planning their routes on the spot. Many stamp rally guides can also be found on China's social media platform Xiaohongshu, reachable by subway and shared bicycles. Collecting all 11 stamps can earn a Pokémon Flower Path Roaming metal badge, which many netizens praised as a very thoughtful event. (Editor: Chou Hui-ying) 1150508
