Central News Agency (CNA) correspondent Tseng Jen-kai, Taipei, May 8th - Lite-On Technology today announced its April revenue of NT$16.7 billion, a 1% month-on-month increase and a 24.5% year-on-year increase, reaching a new high in nearly seven and a half years. Cumulative revenue for the first four months of this year was NT$60.1 billion, a 21% year-on-year increase.

Lite-On Technology stated today that April revenue hit a recent high, primarily driven by power management systems such as AI and cloud computing high-end server power supplies, high-efficiency backup battery systems (BBU), and optoelectronic semiconductors.

Lite-On Technology noted that strong shipments of power management systems for AI, cloud computing, high-end servers, and network communications led to the Cloud and IoT division's April revenue growing by over 50% year-on-year, accounting for 53% of the company's total revenue.

Additionally, the Information and Consumer Electronics division, which accounts for 31% of revenue, also benefited from stable growth in demand for low-Earth orbit satellites and high-end power supplies, with departmental revenue increasing by 3% month-on-month.

Lite-On Technology General Manager Chiu Sen-bin stated at an investor conference at the end of April that Q1 was the trough of the company's operations this year. He is optimistic that Q2's core businesses will see strong year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter growth in both revenue and profit, with the proportion of AI product shipments increasing quarter by quarter.
