(Central News Agency reporter Chiang Ming-yen, Taipei, 8th) Hylai Foods benefited from the expansion of its flagship brands, Island Language Buffet and Shanghai Soup Dumplings, coupled with strong banquet demand, driving overall revenue growth. Its net profit after tax for the first quarter was NT$248 million, a quarter-on-quarter increase of 142.82% and a year-on-year increase of 33.9%, with earnings per share (EPS) of NT$5.87, setting a new high since its listing.

Hylai Foods announced its Q1 financial report for this year, with revenue of NT$1.988 billion, a quarter-on-quarter increase of 23.51% and a year-on-year increase of 14.57%; net profit after tax was NT$248 million, a quarter-on-quarter increase of 142.82% and a year-on-year increase of 33.9%, with EPS of NT$5.87, outperforming last year's Q1 EPS of NT$4.39.

Hylai Foods analyzed that the Q1 growth momentum mainly came from two aspects: a significant recovery in banquet hall demand and the effect of store expansion. In terms of banquet demand, from the Lunar New Year to corporate year-end parties and spring banquets, it drove overall business growth in banquet halls in both northern and southern regions, with the overall momentum extending into Q2; wedding banquets were the main driver in the northern region, while club certifications and business entertaining were prominent in the southern region.

Secondly, revenue was boosted by the effect of brand store expansion. Hylai Foods' Chinese restaurant brand, Shanghai Soup Dumplings, currently has 9 branches across Taiwan, with monthly revenue growing by over 60% compared to the same period last year. In addition, the total monthly revenue of the 5 branches of "Celebrity Chef" across Taiwan also increased by 40% compared to the same period. Driven by the dual engines of banquet halls and flagship brands, overall revenue performance continued to reach new highs.

Hylai Foods stated that the Taichung Hanshin Intercontinental Shopping Plaza branch of its buffet brand "Island Language" is currently under construction and will be the brand's fourth location; based on the performance of the current three stores, Q1 revenue this year grew by 2 times compared to the same period last year. The company is optimistic about the future addition of the Taichung and Taipei Dome stores to boost revenue growth.

Looking ahead, Hylai Foods expects reservations for its various Chinese and Western restaurants to be nearly full in May, benefiting from the Labor Day holiday and Mother's Day; in terms of product sales, the Dragon Boat Festival period's gift box sales target is over 16,000 sets, expected to contribute NT$16 million in revenue, and Q2 operating performance is expected to remain stable.
