(Central News Agency reporter Shen Pei-Yao, Taipei, 8th) Eswatini Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla recently visited Taipei Medical University Hospital, affirming Taiwan's strength in clinical medicine, public health, and medical technology, which has had a profound impact on enhancing local medical capacity and human resource cultivation.
Taipei Medical University Hospital stated today through a press release that Deputy Prime Minister Dladla and her delegation visited TMUH on the 6th, accompanied by Superintendent Shih Chun-Ming. The visit focused on clinical medicine, public health, medical personnel training, and smart healthcare development, and expressed hope to continue jointly improving healthcare quality and health and well-being on the existing foundation of cooperation.
Superintendent Shih Chun-Ming stated that TMUH has been deeply rooted in Eswatini for 17 years in line with diplomatic policy. In addition to dispatching a resident medical team to provide frontline clinical care, it has also deeply participated in the construction of Eswatini's medical system, assisting in establishing national examination systems for medical personnel and professional training frameworks. This has cultivated local medical talents with institutional guarantees for the country, laying the foundation for the sustainable development of the medical system.
According to TMUH statistics, to date, accumulated medical services have exceeded 210,000 person-times, and teaching and training services have exceeded 50,000 person-times, playing a key role in enhancing local medical capacity and professional human resource cultivation.
In addition to clinical medicine and talent cultivation, TMUH Vice Superintendent Wang Wei pointed out that this year, the smart medical platform created by Taipei Medical University was successfully introduced into Manzini Government Hospital. This transformed medical services that originally relied on paper and manual processes into a digitalized and systematic smart outpatient model, fully demonstrating Taiwan's strength in integrating and outputting medical and digital technology.
TMUH stated that in the future, it will continue to uphold the core philosophy of "medical diplomacy and shared prosperity," working hand in hand with Eswatini to deepen their partnership. Through long-term commitment and concrete actions, they will jointly protect people's health and realize the vision of global health for all, continuing to implement the spirit of "TAIWAN CAN HELP."
