(Central News Agency reporter Tseng Jen-kai, Taipei, May 8) Delta Electronics today announced its April revenue was NT$58.692 billion, a year-on-year increase of 43.9%, a slight decrease of 1.8% from March, and the second-highest in history; Delta Electronics' cumulative revenue for the first four months of this year was NT$218.044 billion, a year-on-year increase of 36.5%.
Delta Electronics explained the revenue contribution breakdown of its four major business groups in April: the power and components business accounted for 54% of total revenue, the infrastructure business accounted for 33%, and the automation business and transportation business accounted for 9% and 4% respectively.
Delta Electronics Chairman Cheng Ping stated at the investor conference at the end of April that the main growth driver for the first quarter's operations came from artificial intelligence (AI). The power and components department's profit increased by 87% year-on-year, and the infrastructure department's profit increased by as much as 170% year-on-year.
