(Central News Agency reporter Zhao Li-yan, Taichung, May 8) The Taichung City Government on the 7th conducted its third surprise inspection of two Airi Group branches and one postpartum nursing home in Taichung. Police used infrared detectors, RF wireless signal detectors, and other equipment for a comprehensive check, finding no abnormalities.

The fire detectors in an Airi Group clinic in New Taipei City were suspected of illegally concealing cameras, leading to an expanded investigation of all branches nationwide.

Today, the Taichung City Health Bureau stated in a press release that police used infrared detectors, RF wireless signal detectors, and other equipment to conduct a comprehensive check of the consultation rooms, injection rooms, examination rooms, private spaces, and ward areas of the Taichung branches. Currently, no pinhole cameras or abnormal situations have been found in the two clinics and one postpartum nursing home. In addition, the fire department's inspection of fire detectors also confirmed that they are all used for normal fire safety purposes.

The Health Bureau stated that surveillance equipment was previously found in areas such as consultation rooms, injection rooms, and examination rooms. Whether this constituted illegal filming without specific purpose or patient consent, the Health Bureau has already transferred the investigation data to the prosecutorial authorities for further investigation; after the judicial investigation results are released, the Health Bureau will strictly pursue accountability in accordance with medical law and other regulations, with no leniency.
