(CNA Reporter Wu Chia-hao Taipei 8th) Computer brand Acer announced today that its April consolidated revenue was approximately NT$31.312 billion, a 4.7% month-on-month increase and a 68.4% year-on-year increase, setting a 12-year single-month high. Accumulated revenue for the first four months of this year reached NT$103.743 billion, a 29.7% year-on-year increase, marking a 13-year high for the same period. Another computer brand, Asus, announced its April group consolidated revenue was approximately NT$81.915 billion, a 4.8% month-on-month decrease but a 45.7% year-on-year increase, setting a new record for the same period in history. Asus expects its artificial intelligence (AI) server business to grow by 50% to 100% this year, contributing significantly to revenue and profit. Looking at Acer's operational highlights for April, PC revenue increased by 82.8% year-on-year, Chromebook notebook revenue increased by 57.1% year-on-year, esports and gaming business revenue increased by 1.08 times year-on-year, commercial product revenue increased by 80.4% year-on-year, and tablet revenue increased by 1.23 times year-on-year. Acer continues to build multiple business engines, with non-PC and display-related businesses accounting for 31.2% of April's revenue and 33.6% of the first four months' revenue.
