The Presidential Office issued a press release stating that Vice President Hsiao met with the cross-party delegation of New Zealand parliamentarians and the NSO National Symphony Orchestra (Taiwan Philharmonic) this morning.

The Vice President and the delegation together enjoyed a viola performance by the NSO National Symphony Orchestra of Tyzen Hsiao's "The Outsider" and the TBT Taiwu Ancient Ballads Chorus's Paiwan ceremonial suite "Song to Welcome the Ancestors" and "Joyful Song." Afterwards, they listened to a presentation on selected items for the Taiwanese Pop-up Fair during the NSO National Symphony Orchestra's upcoming US tour in Phoenix.

The Presidential Office stated that this year marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States and the "Taiwanese American Heritage Week" in May. The NSO, acting as a "Cultural Ambassador," will tour the United States with the "TBT Taiwu Ancient Ballads Chorus," intertwining the purest tribal chants with exquisite classical music, allowing the world to see Taiwan once again.
