The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 313.62 points, or 0.63%, closing at 49596.97 points.

The S&P 500 Index dropped 28.01 points, or 0.38%, closing at 7337.11 points.

The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 32.74 points, or 0.13%, closing at 25806.20 points.
