(Central News Agency, Penghu County, May 7) The Chi Yu Supercar Convoy, comprising 22 luxury cars, embarked on a journey to Penghu today, adding a spectacular highlight to the Penghu International Fireworks Festival. Deputy County Commissioner Lin Chieh-hsing expressed his expectation for the supercar convoy to enjoy their drive on the island while promoting traffic safety.
The Chi Yu Supercar Convoy, led by Chi Yu Motors Chairman Kuo Po-tung, brought 22 supercars worth hundreds of millions of New Taiwan Dollars. They took the Penghu ferry from Keelung last night and docked at Magong Port today, commencing their long journey in Penghu.
Penghu Deputy County Commissioner Lin Chieh-hsing welcomed the convoy in front of the county government today, jointly witnessing the majestic presence of the top-tier supercars. He thanked the supercar convoy for gathering across the sea in Penghu, adding a highlight to the Penghu International Fireworks Festival. The supercars and the dazzling fireworks complement each other, showcasing the charm of speed during the day and the romance of fireworks at night, injecting vitality into local tourism.
Lin Chieh-hsing mentioned that the supercar convoy's long journey to Penghu not only successfully connected the tourism chain between Taiwan and Penghu but also demonstrated the boost that the high-end leisure industry provides to Penghu's tourism. He hopes to gather an even larger convoy next year to conquer Penghu's roads again. At the same time, he conducted traffic safety awareness with the convoy on site, ensuring a safe journey in Penghu for the team.
Kuo Po-tung stated that this is the second time the supercar convoy has made a long journey to Penghu, and the lineup has been upgraded again, gathering various supercars such as Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, and McLaren. They will embark on a 4-day, 3-night trip in Penghu. Penghu residents will be able to hear the roaring sounds of the supercar convoy driving on the roads, which is particularly eye-catching.
