(Central News Agency reporter Chang Chien, Hong Kong, 7th) The Shenzhen Shuibei gold trading platform "Jie Wo Rui" has experienced a payment crisis. According to reports, the amount involved reached 13.3 billion RMB (approximately 59.8 billion New Taiwan Dollars), with 150,000 affected users. The person in charge of the company has been detained by public security.

The Luohu Branch of the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau announced yesterday on Weibo that it has taken criminal compulsory measures against Zhang X-teng and other personnel suspected of economic crimes from Jie Wo Rui Jewelry Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Longye Gold Industry Co., Ltd., and has collected evidence related to the case. The case is currently under investigation.

Sing Tao Daily today cited relevant reports from mainland media, stating that Zhang X-teng is the owner of "Jie Wo Rui." The company reportedly experienced a capital chain rupture in January, and users were unable to withdraw cash or physical gold from the platform. The funds involved amounted to 13.3 billion RMB, and the number of affected users reached 150,000. At that time, protests erupted in Shuibei, and some agitated users clashed with the police.

After the incident, the authorities established a special working group to urge "Jie Wo Rui" to raise funds and initiate payments.

According to reports, investors in "Jie Wo Rui" came from 11 provinces, including Guangdong, Fujian, Shanxi, Jiangxi, and Anhui, mostly housewives and working-class individuals. (Editor: Chou Hui-ying) 1150507
