The Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS) announced today that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) annual growth rate for April was 1.74%, a significant expansion from 1.2% in March, with fuel costs soaring by 13.6%.

According to DGBAS statistics, the CPI annual growth rate for April was 1.74%. Among the seven major categories of CPI, transportation and communication saw a more significant increase of 2.66%, with fuel costs, train tickets, and airfares all rising.
